'City The Animation' Reveals Supporting Cast, Staff, First Promo [Update 3/31]
The City The Animation Blue Stage at AnimeJapan 2025 revealed supporting cast, staff, the opening and ending theme, and the first promotional video on Sunday. The anime series adapting Keiichi Arawi's slice of life comedy manga will air on July 7 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by ABC TV, TV Aichi, and BS11.

Dr. Adatara / Adatara's Father: Takehito Koyasu (Mashle: Shinkakusha Kouho Senbatsu Shiken-hen)
Adatara's Mother: Mayumi Asano (Dance Dance Danseur)
Tatsuta Adatara: KENN (Meiji Tokyo Renka)
Ryouta Adatara: Satoshi Inomata (Douse, Koishite Shimaunda.)
Kamome Adatara: Coco Hayashi (BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!!)
Umi Adatara: Haruna Fukushima (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby - Shin Jidai no Tobira)

Taichi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) is directing the television anime at Kyoto Animation. Tamami Tokuyama (Hibike! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest-hen animation director) is serving as both the character designer and chief animation director.
Arawi, best known for Nichijou, began drawing the manga in Morning weekly magazine in September 2016. Following a four and a half-year-run, Arawi concluded the manga in February 2021. Kodansha published the 13th and final volume in April that year.
Vertical licensed the manga in English in July 2017 and released all 13 volumes between March 2018 and January 2022.

The official website for the City the Animation television anime announced a pair of additional cast on Monday.
Voice actors Yuu Miyazaki (Yubisaki to Renren) and Ryouta Suzuki (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) are joining the cast as Oni Kamaboko and Todoroki, respectively.
