Main Cast of 'Blade & Bastard' Announced

Drecom's first ever panel at Anime Expo 2025 unveiled the main cast, a new illustration by original artist so-bin (pictured), and a character promotional video for the Blade & Bastard anime on Sunday.

The anime adapts Kumo Kagyuu's action fantasy light novel, which he launched under the DRE Novels imprint with illustrations by so-bin (Overlord) in December 2022. Drecom published the 5th volume on June 10. J-Novel club simulpublishes the novel digitally in English.

Makoto Fuugetsu began drawing a manga adaptation on the DRE Comic website in June 2023. The sixth volume was shipped on June 20.

Yen Press licensed the manga adaptation in April 2024 and published the second volume on April 1. The third volume is scheduled to be released on November 25.
