The January issue of Monthly Asuka went on sale on Tuesday and confirmed that Yukiru Sugisaki's shoujo manga D.N.Angel will end in three chapters.

The first page of the new D.N.Angel chapter (Stage 4, Vol. 43) echoed a statement made by Monthly Asuka on November 6, indicating two chapters remain after the latest. The complete series will also be released in a new ten-volume set over five consecutive months—beginning with volumes one and two on January 22, 2021.

Sugisaki began serializing the manga in Monthly Asuka in November 1997. The series underwent its first hiatus in June 2005 and resumed in February 2008.

The 16th volume was released digitally in January 2019 after an eight-year hiatus—it was published in print only as an appendix to the May 2019 issue of Monthly Asuka. Volumes 17 and 18 were released digitally in July 2019 and March 2020, respectively.

Xebec produced a 26-episode TV anime adaptation that aired from April to September in 2003. The adaptation featured changes from the manga that altered the progression of the story.
