'Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen' Reveals Staff, Teaser Promo for Winter 2024
The Aniplex Online Fest 2023 event unveiled the main staff, the teaser promotional video, and key visual (pictured) for the Ao no Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati-hen (Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga) television anime on Sunday. The new anime adapting Kazue Katou's action fantasy manga is scheduled for a January 2024 premiere. The lead cast will reprise their roles from the previous seasons.

Katou began serializing the manga in Jump SQ. in April 2009. Shueisha published the 29th volume on July 9. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in November 2010 and released the 27th volume on May 3, with the 28th volume planned for a November 14 release. The company and Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublish the chapters in English.
A-1 Pictures produced the 25-episode first anime season in Spring 2011. The Ao no Exorcist Movie (Blue Exorcist The Movie) side story anime movie premiered in Japan in December 2012.
The Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) sequel television anime aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2017. The 19th and 20th volumes each bundled an original video anime episode in April and October 2017.
