Second Season of 'Kaginado' Announced for Spring 2022
A second season for Kaginado, the crossover anime featuring chibi characters from franchises by visual novel studio Key, was announced following the broadcast of the 12th and final episode on Wednesday. The official website also revealed an announcement visual (pictured above). The new season will begin airing in April 2022.
The original crossover anime series featuring characters from Kanon, Air, Clannad, Little Busters!, Rewrite, and other Key franchises began airing on October 13. Crunchyroll, Funimation, HIDIVE, Wakanim, Aniplus, bilibili, and Muse Asia simulcast the anime internationally as it aired in Japan.
Kazuya Sakamoto (Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows) directed the anime at LIDENFILMS Kyoto Studio. Takashi Aoshima (Kakushigoto) handled the series composition and Eriko Haga (Houkago Saikoro Club animation director).
Synopsis
This is the story of a small miracle.
Stars from different universes and different times that were never meant to cross paths. By irony of fate, these stars come together in "Kaginado Academy." What awaits them there is a lively school life full of hope and dreams. The wonderful encounters provide the stars with new radiance. What awaits beyond that radiance...?
