Sixth Season of 'Kingdom' Announces Additional Cast

The official website for the sixth season of the Kingdom television anime revealed additional cast and a character visual (pictured above) on Thursday. The sixth season adapting Yasuhisa Hara's historical action manga is scheduled to premiere on NHK TV in October 2025.

Rock band Ikimonogakari (Naruto: Shippuuden) is performing the opening theme "Ikite, Sansan." Sora Tomonari (Watari-kun no xx ga Houkai Sunzen) is performing the ending theme "Houkou."

Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyou Hitman Reborn!) is helming the anime at Pierrot and Studio Signpost. Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) is handling the series composition, and Hisashi Abe (Berserk) is designing the characters. Kohta Yamamoto (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season - Kanketsu-hen) is composing the music.

Hara began drawing the manga in Weekly Young Jump in January 2006. Shueisha published the 75th volume on March 18, with the 76th volume is scheduled to be released on July 17.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and plans to release the first volume on November 11.
