Third Season of 'Kinnikuman: Kanpeki Choujin Shiso-hen' Announced
A third season of the Kinnikuman: Kanpeki Choujin Shiso-hen (Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc) television anime was announced with a key visual (pictured) at the Kinnikuman Chojin Festival 2025 on Sunday.
Akira Satou (Ao Ashi) returns to helm the new season at Production I.G. Makoto Fukami (Tengoku Daimakyou) is handling the series composition, and Hirotaka Marufuji (Lupin III: Part 6) is designing the characters. Yasuharu Takanashi (Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu) is composing the music.
Produced by Production I.G, the first and second season of the television anime aired in 11 episodes in Summer 2024 and Winter 2025, respectively. Netflix streamed the anime series with English subtitles.
Yudetamago originally serialized the action comedy manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from May 1979 to May 1987. The series was later resumed on ShuuPlay News in November 2011. Shueisha published the 88th volume on April 4, with the 89th volume scheduled for a September 4 release.
Weekly Playboy serialized two sequel manga between 1997 and 2011. Shueisha released the second manga's 28th and final volume in December 2011.
