'Mononogatari' Reveals Pair of Additional Cast

The official website of the Mononogatari (Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari) television anime unveiled a pair of additional cast members on Monday. The anime is set to broadcast on January 10 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11.

Taiten Kusunoki (Enen no Shouboutai) and Azusa Tadokoro (Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi) are joining the cast as Kai and Itsuka, respectively.

Ryuuichi Kimura (Aikatsu!) is directing the television anime at Bandai Namco Pictures. Keiichirou Oochi (Peach Boy Riverside) is handling the series composition, and Shiori Fujisawa (Aikatsu on Parade! SD character design) is designing the characters. John Kanda (Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? theme song composition) and XELIK (Fate/Grand Carnival theme song arrangement) are composing the music.

The anime series adapts Onigunsou's supernatural fantasy manga, which began in Miracle Jump in April 2014 before switching to Ultra Jump in January 2016. Shueisha published the 14th volume on May 18. Shueisha's Shounen Jump+ web magazine also serializes the manga.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English on April 27. The first volume is set to release on January 10.
