'Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear' Reveals Supporting Cast Members
The official website of the Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear (The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma) television anime revealed three additional cast and a 45-second commercial on Thursday. The anime series adapting Kumano's comedy fantasy light novel will air in October 2020.
Voice actresses Maki Kawase (Zombieland Saga) and Azumi Waki (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) are starring as the lead characters Yuna and Fina, respectively. Waki is also performing the opening theme "Itsuka no Kioku."
Yuu Nobuta (High School Fleet) is directing the anime at EMT Squared, with Takashi Aoshima (Gabriel DropOut) in charge of the series composition. Yuki Nakano (Boku no Tonari ni Ankoku Hakaishin ga Imasu.) is designing the characters.
Kumano launched the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2014. Shufu to Seikatsusha began publishing the series with illustrations by 029 (Hataraku Maou-sama!, Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de) under its PASH! Books label in May 2015 and shipped the 15th volume on May 22. Sergei began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic PASH! web magazine in March 2018. The fourth volume was released on March 27.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in English last October and published the first volume digitally on May 7, with the physical release scheduled for July 7.
