'Kingdom 6th Season' Announces Supporting Cast

The official website of the Kingdom anime series revealed five additional cast and the main visual (pictured) for the sixth season on Tuesday. The anime will premiere on October 5 at 12:10 a.m. on NHK TV.

Kitari: Yoshino Nanjo (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san 2nd Attack)
Katari: Masaaki Mizunaka (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria)

Voice actor Teruyuki Tanzawa (Haikyuu!! 3rd Season) is replacing Takahiro Fujiwara as Kanjou due to health reasons.

Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyou Hitman Reborn) is returning to direct the sixth season at Studio Pierrot and Studio Signpost. Other returning staff include series composer Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy), character designer Hisashi Abe (Dead Mount Death Play), and music composer Kohta Yamamoto (Tougen Anki) and Hiroyuki Sawano (Solo Leveling).

The anime series adapts Yasuhisa Hara's historical action manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Jump in January 2006. Shueisha published the 76th volume on July 17. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2025 and plans to release the first volume on November 11.
