'Awajima Hyakkei' Reveals Additional Cast, Ending Theme, Third Promo
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Takako Shimura's Awajima Hyakkei (Scenes from Awajima) manga revealed additional cast, the ending theme, a fourth character visual (pictured), and third promotional video on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on April 10 at 1:45 a.m. on Fuji TV.

Sara Takanashi: Kana Ichinose (Sousou no Frieren)
Eri Fujisawa: Risa Shimizu (Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis)
Shizuka Utagawa: Asuna Tomari (Fruits Basket 1st Season)
Singer-songwriter Hana Hope (Ookami to Koushinryou: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf) is performing the opening theme "blue hour." Mika Nakashima (Takt Op. Destiny) is performing the ending theme "Hikari." Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru, Cardcaptor Sakura) is directing the anime at Madhouse, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen, Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun) handling the series composition. Kunihiko Hamada (Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru, Nana) is designing the characters. Takahiro Obata (Yakusoku no Neverland, Shoushimin Series) is composing the music.
Shimura began serializing the school drama manga on the pocopoco website in June 2011. The manga then switched to the Oota Web Comic site in 2016, where it ended on March 15. Oota Publishing published the fifth and final volume in May 2024.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in July 2025 and published the first volume on January 20. The second volume is planned for a May 26 release.
