'Lupin III: Part V' Anime Series Announces Staff

An official website has opened for the previously announced fifth Lupin anime series on Tuesday, revealing the main staff members. Yuuichirou Yano is returning from the fourth anime series to direct the new anime. Under the title Lupin III: Part V, the anime will premiere on NTV in April 2018. Hulu will also stream the series.

The 1967 manga series Lupin III is written and illustrated by Monkey Punch. It has spawned multiple anime adaptations with the most recent produced by TMS Entertainment and Telecom Animation Film, Lupin III: Part IV, which was aired 30 years after Lupin III: Part III. The TV series aired for 24 episodes and took place in Italy and San Marino, featuring Lupin in a blue coat.
