'Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl' Announces Main Cast
The official website of the Virgin Punk anime revealed the main cast and a key visual for the first installment, Clockwork Girl, on Saturday. The first part will screen in Cine Libre Ikebukuro in Tokyo and Theater Umeda in Osaka on June 27.

Yasuomi Umetsu, best known for creating A Kite (Kite) and Mezzo Forte, is credited as the original creator alongside animation studio Shaft. Umetsu is also directing and designing the characters. Yuuya Takahashi (Lupin III: Part IV) is handling the series composition and script. Yoshiaki Dewa (Yofukashi no Uta) is composing the music. Aniplex is in charge of distribution.
Synopsis
"Deliver the brain of a wanted illegal Somadia criminal to the police. Their condition—dead or alive—doesn't matter."
The year is 2099. Humanity has conquered injuries and disease through the advancement of Somadia, a revolutionary artificial body technology. However, with progress comes crime—Somadia-enhanced individuals possess abilities far beyond those of ordinary humans, and illegal modifications have fueled a surge in violent offenses.
To combat these threats, the government establishes the Bounty Hunter System, allowing registered civilians to track and eliminate wanted criminals in exchange for hefty rewards.
In this dystopian world, Ubu Kanpi makes a living as a bounty hunter, hunting down criminals who abuse Somadia technology. But when she returns home from a job one night, she finds herself face-to-face with Mr. Elegance—a man from her past with unfinished business. From that moment on, her fate begins to spiral out of control.
Amid the scent of gunpowder and the hum of machinery, a high-stakes cybernetic suspense action story begins!
