'Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu' Third Season Announced for 2027

Television station TV Asahi announced a third season of the Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (The Dangers in My Heart) anime series during a staff stage greeting event on Saturday, revealing a celebratory illustration by character designer Masato Katsumata (pictured above). The third season adapting Norio Sakurai's school romcom mangawill air in 2027.

Produced by Shin-Ei Animation, the first anime season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2023, followed by the 13-episode second season in Winter 2024, adapting the first eight volumes of the manga.

The Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu Movie compiling the first two seasons opened in Japan on February 13. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime series in North America and streamed both seasons on HIDIVE with subtitles and an English dub.

Sakurai originally began drawing the manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in March 2018 before switching it to Champion Cross the following month, and then in Manga Cross in July that year. Akita Shoten published the 13th volume on January 8. The manga will end in its 14th volume.

A spin-off manga titled Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu: Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai, written and illustrated by Haika Nanasaka and supervised by Sakurai, began serialization in July 2025. Akita Shoten published the first volume on January 8.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in December 2020 and released the 12th volume on February 24.
