Synopsis

20 years after Arus's victory, magic vanishes and a prince seeks truth about his vanished kingdom.

Sequel of Dragon Quest Retsuden: Roto no Monshou set 20 years after the legendary hero Arus saved the world from the Demon Lord. In a mysterious event known as "the Day of Loss," magic suddenly vanished from the world five years ago. In the underground land of Alefgard, the entire kingdom of Radatome disappeared overnight, leaving behind only two survivors: Aros, the young prince of the vanished kingdom, and A-Kagi, a mysterious wanderer who happened to be present that fateful night. With his memories fragmented by the traumatic events, Aros grows up under the protection of A-Kagi and his companions, unaware of his true heritage. As he comes of age, Aros begins to question his past and sets out on a journey to uncover the truth behind the catastrophic "Day of Loss" and the disappearance of his homeland. His quest will lead him to encounter various allies and adversaries as he searches for answers about his identity, his missing family, and the strange forces that seem to be gathering sacred artifacts across the land. Meanwhile, dark shadows from the past begin to stir once more, threatening the fragile peace that has existed since Arus's heroic victory.
