The world has been changed by the sudden appearance "Ryuugaeri": a phenomenon that causes normal people to slowly turn into dragons. This new race, known as "were-dragons," has been accepted by modern society as they continue to live their lives as best they can. When a dragon falls from the sky in front of high school student Murasaki Kurogane, the boy takes it upon himself to feed the starving Tsukumo. When Tsukumo reveals that he has no place to go, Murasaki also lends his home to the were-dragon. When night falls, however, Tsukumo's crippling fear of loneliness transforms into a need for human warmth.
