Savage Castle

Every night, Else von Roatte's bed is warmed by the company of her favorite servant, Ian. Knowing Ian must bend to her will, Else is tormented by guilt, but she allows herself no other real pleasure. Although her father tolerates her tantrums and showers her with riches, he does not love her. Else is sickly and fragile, and her family keeps her alive just so she can marry and provide them with an heir. The bitter treatment has turned Else into a spoiled and entitled young lady; she is ill-mannered and has a penchant for dramatics, but she cannot help herself if another woman so much as talks to Ian.
