16th-century samurai's daughter's arranged marriage sparks deception and forbidden love among retainers, challenging feudal Japan's social order.

In 16th century Japan, the powerful samurai general Saitou arranges a political marriage between his daughter and the shogun's son, Nobunaga. As the bridal procession makes its way toward their destination, tensions rise among the traveling party. Among them travels a devoted retainer whose hidden feelings for the bride-to-be lead to an unexpected deception, setting the stage for a complex web of loyalty, desire, and duty that will challenge the rigid social order of feudal Japan.
