Synopsis
Japanese diplomat falsely accused as "Rasputin" fights corrupt legal system to prove innocence and uncover truth.
Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin was a prophet, healer of faith, and the man labeled as the single person who destroyed the Russian nation. Almost a century later, Japanese diplomat Mamoru Yuki is labeled the "Rasputin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" after being arrested on suspicions of breach of trust. Under these false accusations, Yuki starts an uphill battle to prove his innocence in a legal system notorious for its unforgiving verdicts. The prosecution is seeking to force a false confession out of him, his colleagues and trusted ones have betrayed him, and he is painfully dehumanized by the country he faithfully served. With the world against him, Yuki wrestles with upholding his own morals while trying to unearth the unsettling truth.
