In the Kingdom of Fulgund, a time when mages were feared and magic users are shunned even by the mercenary guild, a female spellsword named Alfiris travels the land. She seeks to become someone who can protect and save others, despite carrying a mysterious "curse brand" that forces her to hide her true nature.
