The company made toy brands such as Transformers, Licca-chan, Microman and many more. In the late 1980s, Takara started publishing video games for the NES, Game Boy, SNES and many more. The company also had a home video division called Caution Video that released B-movies such as Meet the Feebles, Shocking Dark, The Runner and many more. On March 1, 2006, Takara merged with Tomy to form Takara Tomy or Tomy Company Ltd in Western markets.
