Synopsis
Mana-less noble Melida and her secretive tutor Kufa fight lycanthropes and political intrigue in domed Flandore.
In a world where humanity has been driven to near extinction, the remnants of civilization have taken refuge in Flandore—a city-state encased entirely within protective glass domes. Outside these barriers, terrifying lycanthropes roam the darkness, making the domed cities humanity's last sanctuary. Within this confined society, a rigid hierarchy exists between the noble class and commoners, with nobles possessing the rare ability to manipulate mana—mystical energy that grants them superhuman capabilities essential for defending against the lycanthrope threat. At the prestigious academy that trains young nobles in the use of mana, 13-year-old Melida Angel stands out for all the wrong reasons. Despite her noble bloodline, she has yet to manifest any mana abilities, making her the subject of ridicule and scorn among her peers. To address this concerning situation, the Angel family enlists Kufa Vampir, a mysterious and skilled tutor, to personally guide Melida's development. However, Kufa's role as Melida's mentor comes with hidden complexities that extend far beyond simple instruction. As he works closely with the determined young noble, he finds himself drawn into a web of secrets and conflicting loyalties that challenge everything he thought he knew about his mission and the world around them. Together, Melida and Kufa must navigate not only the pressures of academy life and the ever-present threat of lycanthropes, but also the dangerous political machinations that lurk beneath the surface of their seemingly protected society.
