Synopsis
Haunted Okabe confronts an AI replica of a lost loved one through Amadeus system.
The eccentric, self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintarou Okabe has become a shell of his former self. Haunted by past events he cannot change, he has abandoned his flamboyant persona to live as an ordinary college student, attempting to bury his memories of extraordinary experiences. Surrounded by friends who remain unaware of his secret burdens, Okabe struggles through each day in quiet isolation. While working at a college technology forum, Okabe encounters Maho Hiyajo, a brilliant yet spirited researcher who serves as interpreter for Professor Alexis Leskinen's groundbreaking presentation. Together, they unveil Amadeus—an revolutionary AI system capable of perfectly replicating human memories and personalities. Drawn into their world, Okabe discovers that Maho and Alexis were once colleagues of someone from his past, and that Amadeus holds a digital echo of a person he once knew intimately. Offered a position researching this remarkable AI's behavior, Okabe finds himself confronting the delicate boundary between past and present, memory and reality. As he interacts with this uncanny simulation, he must navigate the emotional complexities of reconnecting with a digital ghost while questioning the nature of identity, loss, and the price of clinging to what cannot be reclaimed.
