Synopsis
Rogue swordsman Jubei battles supernatural ninja in a plague-ridden feudal Japan, confronting his past and a national conspiracy.
Jubei Kibagami wanders feudal Japan as an itinerant swordsman-for-hire. After a past betrayal left him masterless, he has no more patience for warring political factions and their schemes. Unfortunately, his solitary life is disrupted when he crosses paths with Kagero, a female ninja in distress. The two find themselves entangled in a dangerous conspiracy involving a mysterious plague and a group of powerful ninja with supernatural abilities. As Jubei becomes reluctantly drawn into the conflict, he discovers that both his past and the fate of the nation may be at stake. Now, he must navigate a web of political intrigue, face formidable enemies, and confront shadows from his history that refuse to stay buried.
