Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
ファイナルファンタジーVII アドベントチルドレン
Synopsis
Post-war Cloud investigates missing children amid Geostigma outbreak, confronting past threats to protect the next generation.
Two years after a cataclysmic battle that nearly tore the planet apart, the world is slowly rebuilding. The once-mighty city of Midgar lies in ruins, its survivors having forged a new community called Edge on its outskirts. In this fragile new world, former hero Cloud Strife has stepped away from the battlefield, running a small delivery service with his childhood friend Tifa. Together, they care for those left adrift by the disaster, including children orphaned by the conflict. But peace remains elusive. A mysterious illness known as "Geostigma" has begun afflicting the planet's youth, leaving its mark on both body and spirit. When children start disappearing from the streets of Edge, Cloud finds himself pulled back toward a life he thought he'd left behind. As he investigates, he'll discover that the past has not been laid to rest as completely as he believed. New threats emerge from the shadows of history, forcing Cloud to confront whether he can truly protect the next generation—or if he's destined to repeat the battles of yesterday. The fate of the children, and perhaps the planet itself, may depend on whether Cloud can find the strength to face what comes next.
