The only thing remotely salvageable is the decent art; everything else crashes and burns. The story glorifies an unhealthy starvation makeover, the heroine treats her suitors like interchangeable yaoi action figures, and every overworked shojo trope is crammed in to create a cliché hellscape. Overall, a complete disappointment—if you came for the author’s usual BL charm, steer clear and stick to her actual manga. The most memorable (and cringe-worthy) moment: the magical week-long weight-loss that supposedly turns the protagonist into a Victoria’s Secret angel and suddenly makes her desirable.
