The familiar soundtrack still delights and the art remains solid with better-than-expected fight scenes for a cute/ecchi show, but repeating the exact same romantic-reset gag for three seasons destroys suspension of disbelief and leaves the main couple stuck at square one. A thin, unfocused war plot and lifeless villain arc make the season feel like a tedious re-run rather than progression, saving only the side-characters Henrietta, Tabitha and Colbert from narrative stasis.
