Synopsis
Jewish girl Anne Frank's diary chronicles her family's two-year hiding from Nazis in a secret Amsterdam annex.
This is the true story of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl living in Amsterdam during World War II. When the Nazi occupation begins to threaten Jewish families, Anne's father makes the difficult decision to take his family into hiding. Along with his wife Edith and their two daughters Margot and Anne, they are joined by four others in a secret annex concealed behind a building. For an extended period, eight people live in complete secrecy, maintaining absolute silence during daylight hours and relying on the kindness of trusted friends for survival. During this time of confinement, thirteen-year-old Anne chronicles her experiences in a diary, capturing the daily realities of their hidden existence, her evolving relationships with those around her, and her dreams of freedom beyond the secret walls. Through Anne's eyes, we witness the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable circumstances.
