Synopsis
Taiwanese assassin "Glass Heart" gets new heart, haunted by memories, seeks truth in Japan, meets City Hunter figures.
A young Taiwanese assassin known only by the codename "Glass Heart" survives a desperate leap from a high-rise, her life hanging by a thread when a metal fence pierces her chest. Against all odds, an emergency heart transplant grants her a second chance—but with it come haunting dreams that feel like borrowed memories. Drawn by an inexplicable pull, she leaves Taiwan for Japan, hoping to uncover the truth behind the visions that now guide her. There, she crosses paths with figures connected to the legendary underground "sweeper" Ryo Saeba, setting the stage for a new tale that echoes the spirit of City Hunter while charting its own path. Note: The creator has stated that this story features familiar faces from City Hunter but unfolds in a separate world, offering a fresh take on beloved characters without continuing their previous adventures.
A young Taiwanese assassin codenamed "Glass Heart" committed suicide by jumping off a building, and her heart was pierced by metal fence. Miraculously, her life was saved by heart transplantation. During her recovery she began to experience strange dreams, which lead her to Japan looking for the donor of her heart, who happens to be Kaori Makimura, former partner of City Hunter Ryo Saeba. The author mentioned in the first tankoubon volume that Angel Heart only shares the same characters of City Hunter but not its continuation. The events are all parallel universe, therefore it has nothing to do with City Hunter. (Source: Wikipedia)
