Synopsis

Stop-motion animation exploring kanji's essence through imagination, reinterpreting their meaning, form, and origin.

A video work inspired by the "meaning, form and origin" of kanji, reinterpreted and archived using the technique of stop-motion animation. A project that began with the realization that it is the "likeness" drawn out by the imagination that is the essence of kanji. (Source: TECARAT's Official Site)
