The original visual novel is a magnificent, thought-provoking story that justifies every minute of its sixty-hour runtime. However, this anime adaptation is an unspeakable, abominable monstrosity that desecrates its magnificent source material to the point where it should be denied existence entirely. Like the infamous Tsukihime anime, this adaptation never happened in any meaningful way. The most damning condemnation is that this adaptation commits the grave sin of ruining a truly great visual novel.
