With her previous achievements recognized, Leila Malcal has been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and now commands the special unit W-0. After successfully preventing a dangerous incident, she makes the unconventional decision to recruit three individuals involved in the event - Ayano Kosaka, Yukiya Naruse, and Ryou Sayama - to serve as pilots for her understaffed unit. Each of these new recruits seeks purpose and belonging in their own way. As W-0 undertakes high-risk operations behind enemy lines, the team faces increasingly dangerous missions. Among them is Akito, a pilot whose combat abilities are both remarkable and troubling.
